Cooper-Garrod Vineyards Celebrates the Community Green Medal with its Community! Each year, during Down to Earth Month, four vineyards and wineries are recognized with California Green Medal Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards in the categories of Leader, Environment, Business and Community. Recipients are acknowledged on the greenmedal.org website, in a press release and full-page Wine Business Monthly ad, and receive a Green Medal award and certificate at a ceremony that they help create. This year's winner of the Community Green Medal, Cooper-Garrod Vineyards at Garrod Farms, was recognized at an awards ceremony at the winery on June 27. In addition to numerous family members and winery staff, attendees included the Mayor, city council members and city managers, representatives of several local organizations that the winery supports, and staff of presenting organizations including the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, Lodi Winegrape Commission and Wine Institute.
