Happy Halloween from Caglia Environmental! 🎃 This Halloween, let's remind ourselves of our responsibility to the environment. Remember, items like batteries and lightbulbs don't belong in curbside bins. And if your decorations survived the night, pack them up for next year! Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Please remember to keep campaign materials separate from other trash to avoid fees. We are excited to celebrate Arissa Flores, a future Fresno State graduate! She just completed her Public Health Internship at C.A.R.T.S. Over the past 6 weeks, Arissa explored many areas of the waste industry. She worked on projects that showed the impact of waste on the environment. When we asked her about her biggest takeaway, she said, “Solid waste is not something to think lightly of. Our impact on the environment is huge.” What’s next for Arissa? She plans to finish her degree in Environmental Occupational Health and Safety. After that, she wants to become a Safety Specialist. Please join us in congratulating Arissa on her achievements, and wishing her luck in the future!

Reminder to rinse your plastic containers before tossing them in the recycling bin! Even a quick rinse helps prevent contamination and keeps other recyclables clean. You can remove most of the residue with water—your container doesn't need to be spotless. A cleaner container makes it easier for your local recycling facility to process. Do you rinse your containers before recycling them? Comment below!

We were honored to sponsor the American Heart Association’s Central Valley Heart & Stroke Walk at Tesoro Viejo. Supporting participants, survivors, and sharing our recycling expertise made for a rewarding day. Thank you to @AmericanHeartAssociation for hosting such an impactful event. If you couldn’t attend, it’s not too late to support AHA’s important work—visit buff.ly/4bOcUu6 to donate!
