SAE Media Group will be hosting an editorial webinar on December 12 "Countering the Evolving Challenge of Integrating UAS Into Civilian Airspace". The Federal Aviation Administration estimates that the combined commercial and recreational unmanned aircraft system (UAS) fleet will surpass the two-million mark in 2024. While UAS have a variety of innovative commercial use cases, the proliferation of the UAS fleet can also pose safety and security risks to critical infrastructure, public gatherings and other areas that can be impacted by bad actors. Four federal agencies — the Departments of Defense, Energy, Justice, and Homeland Security — have been authorized to deploy counter-UAS technologies in certain circumstances to address malicious UAS operations. This 60-minute webinar from the editors of Aerospace & Defense Technology will feature presentations from developers providing technologies that can be deployed in civilian airspace to counter UAS risks. https://lnkd.in/eSMxmjVT
