In 1931, The University of Texas at Austin created a progressive space. The Anna Hiss Gymnasium was the first women’s gymnasium on campus, later named for the director of women’s sports, who worked for 36 years at the university. More than 90 years on, it’s fair to say no one then could imagine how the facility would be used today, but with the right vision and creative planning, the facility now stands as Texas Robotics, a forward-looking laboratory that blends the technical with the creative while leaning into the history that is a hallmark of the campus. Steve Brupbacher, AIA, LEED AP Steve shares five key takeaways from this historic renovation project. #BSAexpertisespotlight

The Raleigh studio held their annual volunteer day with Rebuilding Together of the Triangle (RTT). BSA has been a proud sponsor for 5+ years. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods by providing home repair and renovation services free of charge to those in need. Rebuilding Together of the Triangle (RTT) is the local affiliate, serving vulnerable homeowners in Wake, Durham, Orange and Chatham counties. This year, volunteers from Raleigh tore down and replaced a ramp leading to the front door, tore down and replaced the back deck plus removal and replacement of kitchen and living room flooring.

It is with a very deep heart that we share one of our BSA family members, Russ Bueche, passed away. Russ joined our Indianapolis studio in 2007 and has been serving in the role of Senior Architect. Over the course of 17 years, Russ made significant contributions to the firm, particularly through his expertise in exterior detailing. His dedication, professionalism, and the quality of his work left a lasting impression on many. If you knew Russ at all, you know he was not only an awesome architect, but he was also an amazing man and a generally fun person that lived life to the fullest. Our hearts go out to Russ' family and everyone that has come in contact with him. https://hubs.li/Q02TV1VL0
