University of Florida Broward Hall was a complicated Klimak custom air handler installation with three units sitting in very tight spaces, each with wrap-around heat pipes and bypass dampers. Thanks to a detailed design by the engineer, one of the three units cleared the walls by just a few inches on three sides. Amazing job by the design and installation team, H2 Engineering and W.W. Gay Gainesville. Working together these AHUs were installed in a challenging environment and on a tight timeline. Klimak’s motto, “If there is a way, we will find it”, certainly rang true in this installation. Brooks Building Solutions is proud to be representing Klimak Custom Air Handling units. The “ART OF THE POSSIBLE” is what our customers are saying about the recent Klimak custom air handler installation at the University of Florida in their Performing Arts Center (also known as the Phillips Center). This challenging installation required knock-down shipment so the unit could be built in place. The installation team had to get this 45,000 CFM AHU in the building and shoehorn it into the mechanical room. H2 Engineering did an amazing job of designing plans to make this project a success. Together, CT Mechanical and Klimak got the job done. Klimak’s motto, “If there is a way, we will find it”, certainly rang true in this installation. Wishing Wayne Brooks a Happy 80th Birthday today! Our founder and namesake started the company in 1984. His influence, values, and principles are still an integral part the company and a legacy we strive to maintain. He remains a close member of the Brooks Family even in retirement. We enjoyed spending time with him and his wife Wallis at the The Players Championship last week.
