Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our Paralympic Reception event in Paris. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase the vibrancy of our city and share what's important in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.   Thank you to the Minister for Sport, the Hon Anika Wells MP, Paralympics Australia President and Brisbane 2032 Vice President, Alison Creagh AM CSC, and Brisbane 2032 Board Director and five-time Paralympian, Kurt Fearnley AO for inspiring our guests.   We're excited to share the enthusiasm and continue to build valuable connections with our Games Delivery Partners, as we look ahead to eight years time!   #ImagineWhatWeCanDo 

The victory ceremony 🥇 🥈 🥉 It's a special moment for athletes at both the #Olympic and #Paralympic Games, where years of hard work culminate in a celebration of their incredible achievements. Our President, Andrew N. Liveris and CEO, Cindy Hook had the opportunity to award medals at #Paris2024 Paralympic Games victory ceremonies. Andrew awarded the medals for the women’s 400m T11 and men’s BC2 Boccia. Cindy awarded medals for the women’s 100m T35 and men's breaststroke 100m S8. Our President, Andrew N. Liveris, spent some time with Cameron Murray and the Paralympics Australia team exploring the Mob Hotel and Athletes Village. The Mob Hotel is the place to be for Aussies during the Paralympic Games, offering a vibrant atmosphere with barista-made coffee under yellow umbrellas and a garden. Paralympics Australia have created a little slice of home for families, friends and supporters to enjoy while in Paris. Andrew also took the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Athletes Village, chatting with Australian Paralympians about their experiences and what makes a great Village. #Brisbane2032 #ParalympicGames #Paris2024 #imaginewhatwecando

The #Paris2024 Paralympic Games are officially underway! It was a wonderful Opening Ceremony at the Place de la Concorde and the lower Champs Élysées. It was wonderful to see the celebrations on the Gold Coast for 8 Years to Go until the #Brisbane2032 Paralympic Games 😍 Young athletes got to try their hand at a variety of sports from athletics to archery and boccia during the Come 'n' Try Para Sports Day. Paralympian Geoff Trappett OAM and World Champion Para Triathlete Sara-Ashlee Tait were also down at the track passing along their expertise to the next generation.
