Indigenous Business Month is a collective movement that celebrates and showcases the diversity and excellence of Indigenous business across Australia in October. In its tenth year with the theme ‘Making your Mark’, October is a great time to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses to foster stronger relationships as well as build new connections 🤝 Our team attended the Indigenous Business Connect networking event earlier in October. It was a great way to speak face to face with many Indigenous businesses and to acknowledge the innovations and diversity of businesses in Southeast Queensland. We look forward to continuing to work with Indigenous businesses like Promo Gear, YarnnUp, BlackCard and BALARINJI and more along the journey to 2032 🖤💛❤️💚💙 #IndigenousBusiness #IndigenousBusinessMonth #MakingYourMark

Today we recognise that there are many ways to improve mental health and overall wellness 🤍 Four-time Olympian Bronwen Knox OLY GAICD is proof that clarity, focus and feeling centred can be found in unique places. Where does she find her calm? The water 💦 #WorldMentalHealthDay encourages us all to prioritise our mental health and find our own ‘sense of home’ as Bron describes it. (ID. Right across Queensland, athletes, communities, and businesses are eagerly anticipating our Games. The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the world’s biggest events, and 2032 presents a unique opportunity for Brisbane, Queensland, and Australia. During #Paris2024, our team participated in over 250 official learning sessions, shadowing, secondments, and self-observation activities. 🗣️ Our President, Andrew Liveris, recently shared our early learnings at CEDA - Committee for Economic Development of Australia, emphasising: 🤺 Athletes and sports are at the heart of our decisions. 🌅 Our Games will be unique to Brisbane 2032, driven by our warm and welcoming people, diverse natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and passion for sport. 🦽 Accessibility is key to creating an inclusive experience. 💻 Technology will deliver effective and efficient innovations. 🫂 The success of the Home Games will be led by a successful Home team. It was wonderful to also hear from Cameron Murray, Emma Thomas, Dr Bridie Kean PLY, Pat Howard, Professor Bruce Abernethy AM and Penny Hall too. Together we are building a legacy that will inspire generations to come and shape our city, region, state and country. #Brisbane2032 #OlympicGames #ParalympicGames #Legacy #Community
