One of the biggest concerns with robotic picking is, “𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒔?” Traditional Goods-to-Robot systems offer two suboptimal solutions: 𝟏. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Someone must enter the cell to manually complete the pick, requiring constant monitoring and halting the cell's operation. 𝟐. 𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫: The item is picked at a separate Goods-to-Person station into a different order tote, adding an extra step for consolidation afterwards. Furthermore, any Goods-to-Robot system will face the challenge of consolidating orders across robotic and human pick stations because not all items are robotically pickable. That’s why we took an entirely different approach with Brightpick. Each Brightpick Autopicker robot carries its own order tote, allowing it to seamlessly transition between robotic picking and human G2P picking while consolidating all picks into the same order tote. This means: - No need for constant monitoring or manual intervention. - No splitting of orders across multiple totes. - A truly integrated and seamless picking process.
