About us
Brahman Capital Corp. is a New York based registered investment advisor founded in 1989. Brahman looks to invest at a point of change, behind truly transformative CEOs with a quantifiable track record of creating shareholder value at companies they led. We believe the CEO is the largest change agent at a company, and require a CEO who we believe is a top level executive and agent of change, high quality business, and compelling valuation in order to invest. Brahman combines this idiosyncratic long strategy with a short portfolio focused on alpha generating, single name stocks led by a dedicated short team. Brahman also has a standalone long strategy. Recently, Brahman more formally embraced an ESG strategy as a natural extension of our working investment process. Brahman believes that ESG begins with company management and that great CEOs intuitively embrace ESG values in efforts to build good businesses positioned for long-term growth. ESG principles steer management toward sustainable and defensible business practices and away from short-term-oriented decisions and questionable activities. We believe ESG-positive practices enhance corporate reputation and brand, attracting high-quality talent, corporate partners, and more loyal customers, and that better positioning as a higher quality company with long-term growth drives higher valuations and ultimately rewards shareholders.
