As MSPs finalize project scopes, Q4 is primed for a hiring surge. In August, we spoke to over 130 of our 900 MSP clients regarding their plans to hire in Q3 and Q4. While Q2 hiring slowed, 72% of the 132 MSPs we spoke to planned on hiring in Q4. The most notable reason for the expected spike in hiring Q4 came from an uptick in projects; 66% of the MSPs planning to hire Q4 said they were either finalizing or refining project scopes that were slated for the second half of the year. The 2nd driver was MSPs anticipating more SMBs to outsource their technology as a cost-effective strategy in response to post-election economic uncertainty. The MSP hiring boom we observed in August and September apparently shows no signs of cooling down. As October approaches, the question is: will your MSP rise with the tide?
