At Bluegrass Care Navigators, we go above and beyond to provide care for all. Recently, we assisted a mother and her son who were experiencing homelessness right after her hospital stay. In our conversations, we discovered a third missing family member who had been admitted to a hospital as a 'Jane Doe.' Thanks to our dedicated team, we were able to locate and reunite the family. All three members were safely housed in temporary hotel medical respite, where the two women could recover together. Stories like this would not be possible without the generous support of our Caring Community of donors and community partners. Thank you for helping us ensure that the most vulnerable among us receive the care, dignity and support they deserve!

At Bluegrass Care Navigators, we continuously seek ways to provide meaningful, compassionate care to those we serve. Our integrative medicine team recently provided hand massage training to both staff and volunteers at our Hazard office. This training was designed to equip our staff and volunteers with the skills needed to offer comforting, therapeutic touch to Veterans in our care. When Mistey Cobb entered BCN’s Medical Respite Program in November 2023, she found more than just the medical care she needed—she found a lifeline. She had access to resources that provided permanent housing and the hope of a more stable, brighter future. Since 2017, in partnership with LFUCG, our Medical Respite Program has supported hundreds of Lexingtonians experiencing homelessness, ensuring that the most vulnerable in our community receive the care and dignity they deserve.
