In the wake of destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, we are taking action. We are working to understand the needs of our communities and determine how we can best support them with immediate relief, recovery, and long-term rebuilding. We are donating more than $2.5 million to local, regional and statewide relief and recovery efforts, including support for food, shelter, and supplies. https://lnkd.in/eZaydA4k

Despite the growing number of adolescents who would benefit from mental health care, more than half of all American teenagers experiencing mental illness or recovering from personal trauma do not get the support they need. Here are three ways we are thinking more broadly about how to create a health care system that is both more available and more responsive to adolescent needs. https://lnkd.in/ePviBgY7

Last week, we convened faith leaders from across the state to share connections and community resources to improve the health of North Carolinians. Time and again, we hear how local governments, faith-based organizations, schools, and community-based organizations are working together to problem-solve and implement innovative new approaches. We know working together, we can make health care better for all.

At our annual Tech Summit we bring our technology professionals, leaders, and stakeholders together for immersive learning experience focused on education and inspiration. As Dedrick Moone put it, "we get to discover the "Blue" within us by learning about innovative technologies, networking, and connecting with people we've only met over Teams." #ITisDifferentHere.

Elijah would describe his time at North Carolina A&T State University as invaluable. "You can’t put a price tag on it. The four years I spent there transitioned me into the man and professional I am today. I think I can speak for the majority of Aggies when I say, that is why Aggie Pride is so strong and cherished." #HBCUWeek This week, we recognize the importance of HBCUs and celebrate the many HBCU graduates on our team and the unique perspectives and strength they bring to #LifeAtBlueCrossNC.

Katherine's family and culture are the backbone of who she is, and have empowered her to embrace her Puerto Rician heritage. For #HispanicHeritageMonth she encourages others to listen to “Preciosa” from Mark Anthony which is a tribute to the island “Borinquen” and goes over the legacy of her blended culture. Even though the translation might not do justice to it, Katherine shared it will "shed some light on the feeling we have towards our beloved island and will give insight on the history of our ethnicity."
