Meet Isabel Brown, Blaze’s new Associate Digital Marketing Specialist! Isabel brings a blend of analytical curiosity and creativity to her work at Blaze — a combination she honed at Harvard University where she studied both design and statistics. Isabel recently completed a summer internship in marketing strategy at VIA. She loves sampling new food and drink spots in Portland, and enjoys skiing, reading a good book, and watching pro-cycling. We’re so happy to have you on the team, Isabel! #newatblaze

Five on-camera talent, multiple wardrobe changes, a full season of assets to capture — we love the exhilarating challenge of photoshoots. Now picture all of that... on a moving train. Last month, we boarded our favorite locomotive and got to work. And we got to the beach. And to the big game. And to a bunch of other great experiences, all of which you can start on the Amtrak Downeaster. We just wrapped up one full (record-setting!) year as Amtrak Downeaster's agency of record. We're thankful to be working with Taylor Belanger and the entire team. Take a peek at some of the images we captured, with special thanks to kari herer and Dirigo Talent Agency.

Meet Claire Maurer, Blaze's new Analytics Specialist! With a wide range of roles in early-age startups under her belt, Claire brings her depth of experience in business operations to Blaze. She thrives when working on analytical problem solving and understanding the data behind stories. Outside the office, Claire spends her time biking around Maine, trying new foods, and getting lost in a good book. She's always looking for reading (and listening) recs — send them her way! Welcome to the team, Claire. We're thrilled to have you! #newatblaze

Indeed, "We're better together," as partner Jim Hauptman writes!

    Managing Partner at Blaze Partners

For the past eight months, we’ve been fully back in the office four days a week, working from home on Fridays. While I appreciate that we could (and did) work fully remotely during COVID, I’m grateful to be working together under one, new (more on that in a minute) roof. Yes, technology has come a long way and has more than proven that it can facilitate remote conversations, but there’s really no substitute for treats in the kitchen on someone’s birthday, an impromptu meeting when someone has a big idea they just need to share, or the ability to walk to the sandwich shop with a colleague and discuss upcoming weekend plans. All of these, I believe, contribute to a greater sense of trust, community, and positive energy sorely missing in the workplace—and in the country, for that matter—at this time. With that in mind, while many companies are downsizing their offices or giving them up altogether, we doubled down this past May by moving into a new, larger space in Falmouth. New construction meant we had the opportunity to design every facet of the space, from the lighting to the flooring, and everything in between. Unlike our old space, which was in a quaint, but not without its challenges being a 100+ year old former sardine cannery, our new space is clean, modern, and comfortable. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of conference/breakout rooms, a wraparound deck, and yes, kombucha on tap contribute to an environment where people feel happy, productive, and welcome. All of that, as well as some really fun clients/projects, cast an overall lightness and sense of well-being. “We’re better together” is a mantra I’ve heard over the past couple of years. I couldn’t agree more. #blazepartners

Impact reports are ultimately only as good as the organization they reflect, which made it a true joy to work on this one for the Running Industry Diversity Coalition under the amazing leadership of Executive Director, Kiera Smalls. "Small but mighty" is the perfect description of the team at the RIDC. Their events, workshops, and research have been the catalyst for seismic positive change across the running industry — and they're clearly just getting started. Swipe for some highlights, then read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eWG5wwff

We’ve been working with the Downeaster team for a year now, and the time has flown (rolled??) by. This would be rewarding work no matter what, but it’s always great to see such incredible results. Get ready for a brand-new summer campaign!

Marketing Director at NNEPRA Amtrak Downeaster

I am so pleased to share that our 2024 fiscal year closed yesterday, and by our reports was a record-breaking year for the service. We surpassed our ridership record by over 45,000 passengers, AND saw our biggest revenue year to date, in the history of the service. 🎊 June 2024 closed out as our best June in the history of the service as well. Official reports will go up on NNEPRA.com once available. Big thanks to our team at Blaze Partners who have effortlessly transitioned into being our agency of record, designing a creative strategy and media plan that has undoubtedly translated into new and return riders. Here's to great things in FY25. Ride on! Photo: Sean Diggs (Railfan) Amtrak Downeaster #recordbreaking #ridership #teamamtrak #statesupported #transportationindustry #passengerrail

As a B Corp and a Maine-based business, we have a vested interest in the growth of our state. That’s why working on this project was so rewarding, because Maine’s success is our success. We collaborated with the Governor’s Energy Office to create the Maine Clean Energy Jobs Network, a website and recruitment tool focused on connecting skilled jobseekers with clean energy employers and training programs. This was one of those all-hands-on-deck moments — it involved industry research, web development, creative strategy and branding, extensive copywriting, photoshoots at local Maine businesses, and so much more. We’ve been working on this site since September of 2023. Now that it’s live, the site had over 1K users and nearly 200 new job postings in just its first week. Maine has a goal to reach 100% clean energy by 2040, and this tool is going to help us get there. Take a look around at mainecleanenergyjobs.com — and since we’re on LinkedIn, if you’ve got an opening or you’re looking for a job, set up a profile today!
