About us
The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is a philanthropy founded to help transform lives and communities by uniting people across differences to find common cause. Started in 1995 by Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot, the foundation has granted more than $1 billion to charitable causes. Our collective giving areas are Atlanta’s Westside, Democracy, Environment, Mental Health and Well-Being, and Youth Development. Across these areas, we take on tough challenges by uniting the courage and compassion of our communities so we can all thrive together. The Foundation invests in education, parks and greenspace, youth development, community redevelopment, and the arts, and leads giving programs for each of the Blank Family of Businesses, including the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, PGA TOUR Superstore, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, and West Creek Ranch.

Today, we announced new grants totaling over $2 million to advance mental health and well-being for infants and mothers. These grants, awarded to six national and local nonprofits in Georgia and Montana, aim to strengthen critical support networks, promote early intervention and address the unique challenges caregivers and communities face. Our focus on infant and maternal mental health stems from research showing that fostering well-being from the earliest stages of life creates a strong foundation for long-term mental health. We're proud to support organizations ZERO TO THREE, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies - The Montana Coalition, the Maternal Mental Health Equity Fund, the Lullaby Project (Carnegie Hall) and Motherhood Beyond Bars. Each of these organizations plays a crucial role in supporting mothers and infants during critical developmental periods. We're committed to addressing the often-overlooked crisis in maternal and infant #mentalhealth, working towards a future where every family has the support they need to thrive. The National Forest Foundation's Mission Mountains Youth Crew Program (MMYC) exposes youth living on the Flathead Reservation in Western Montana to career pathways in natural resources and helps build a bridge to college through a summer job program. MMYC provides Indigenous youth with opportunities to learn life skills, hands-on experiences in outdoor careers and cultural connections. "We see this program as an opportunity to build up the next generation of conservation stewards and, ultimately, as a means towards including more native voices and perspectives in the conservation field. We hope that by exposing youth to these different #career and networking opportunities, MMYC helps create bridges to careers in natural resources with both the Tribe and the Forest Service." - Marlee Ostheimer, northern region program manager, National Forest Foundation.
