  • Exciting news! BlackGirlsHack is partnering with Temple University, the CARE Lab and Raices Cyber for the Security Awareness Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest! This contest invites high school and college students to promote good digital citizenship to create PSA videos on specific cybersecurity or privacy topics. It's a chance to win cash prizes, gain experience, and earn recognition while educating the public on safe, secure, and effective internet use. The partnership aims to address the higher rates of cybercrime impacting communities of color. Research shows that BIPOC individuals face greater financial losses due to identity theft and higher instances of online harassment. The contest welcomes PSAs in English, Spanish, and Hindi to better serve these underrepresented groups. This collaboration with Raices Cyber, CARE Lab, and BlackGirlsHack seeks to empower students to make a difference and help protect their communities. You can find more details about the contest on https://lnkd.in/eKrAxY5D.
