I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer and attend Black Is Tech Conference this past week and what an experience it was! The energy, innovation, and collaborative spirit in the workshops were inspiring. I connected with so many brilliant minds in the tech space, gained fresh insights into cybersecurity, and left feeling more motivated than ever to continue pushing boundaries in the industry. The atmosphere was electrifying, and it’s clear that this community is shaping the future of technology. Looking forward to staying in touch with all the great people I met and continuing to grow within this incredible field. #BlackisTechConference #volunteer #Cybersecurity #Networking #STEM #Innovation #ContinuousLearning

Black Is Tech conference was a success! It was a honor to be apart of the #BlackisTech conference as a Judge of the pitch competition where startups from around the country shared the problems they want to solve. Thank you Tosan Arueyingho for hosting a great conference! Its only the beginning brother! Great one to everyone that pitched and best of luck on your journey’s going forward. Congratulations to ORGANIZELY and everyone who participated it was great meeting you all. T. Nehisi Cece Rockwell Joseph Hamilton Keylem C. Godson Inikori Anike Mlemchukwu Joseph Hardin Three takeaways from the conference: 1/ We need an all out war strategy on how to get the future of technology, particularly AI and robotics into childrens hands as the world we know is changing rapidly 2/ Smaller conferences produces greater intimacy and deeper connections 3/ REMINDER: Be willing to connect others even if you gain nothing from it. You never know where that favor might lead down the road. #technology #pitchcompetition #conference

🌟 Last week, I attended my first Black Is Tech conference in Houston, TX, and I must say, this was one for the books! 🌟 Major Highlights for me were: 💡 Black Women X Tech Series panel discussion, where I had the pleasure of meeting venture capitalist trailblazers Arlan Hamilton and Jewel Burks Solomon. Listening to their stories, experiences, and advice on the current state of investments in Black-founded startups was truly inspiring as a fellow founder and techpreneur! 🚀 💡 Automation: Exploring What’s Next for AI & Robotics discussion with Shelby Heinecke, PhD. Talk about a Black woman who understands automation technologies and how we can leverage them to enhance our communities. Mind blown! 🤯 💡 Meeting and joining in on the discussion with ChatBlackGPT™ founder Erin R. was AMAZING! She left it all on the floor. Followed by the AI Sandbox workshop with Mike Yates, where we had the opportunity to ideate and build our own AI tools in real-time, thanks to Playlab AI. 🤖✨ 🖤 And to top it all off, being front row and center to watch my dear friend and fellow founder T. Nehisi bring home the WIN for ORGANIZELY in the pitch competition truly ended the conference on a high note! 🏆 I am truly greatful for all of the connections made and takeaways that add to my @Founderpreneur journey! Black Is Tech owes me nothing! Until next year! 🙌🏾 #BlackIsTech #GenerativeAI #AIInnovation #Networking #CareerGrowth # Founder #Entrepreneur #Smallbusiness #Blackwomenintech

    Quality Engineer at FanDuel

I had an incredible experience at the Black Is Tech Conference in Houston, Texas. As my first in-person tech conference, it exceeded all expectations. The event offered unparalleled networking opportunities, insightful workshops, informal seminars, and exceptional speakers who not only shared their journeys but also provided invaluable insights and strategies to all attendees. Being an engineer can be demanding, especially when it comes to staying on top of the latest trends, coding practices, and technological advancements—yes, even the ever-evolving world of A.I. However, this conference reminded me that the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement is a constant. It’s the only way of life! In summary, the Black Is Tech Conference was not just an event; it was a movie! I'm looking forward to keeping in contact with as many individuals as I can.

Women are BUILDING tables… So refreshing to hear the transparency and authenticity from Arlan Hamilton and Jewel Burks Solomon at the Black Is Tech conference in Houston, Texas last week! Some takeaways: -Zag when others are zigging (related to forging new paths versus following the crowd) -Jewel -Invaluable 60 second pitch advice (that I used at Invest Fest for $100K days later - more on that later) from Arlan. Cut the fat, get to the story and show results. Both have amazing stories of resilience, fortitide and grit that’s a reminder to stand up internally and believe in yourself before anyone gives you a stage. I missed some amazing sessions from Erin R. , JIMMARA SCOTT and Dawn Dickson but I was beyond proud to witness so many (them and others) sharing their journeys in this tech space - paving the way for so many. There is no gatekeeping here. The 1.8 TRILLION dollar AI economy in 2030 has room for us all. Thank you for providing the space Black Is Tech! What are you building?!
