He comes to us with excellent experience working at General Motors for over nine years. Alex’s background will allow us to make improvements in efficiency as well as reducing waste.   Outside of work, some of Alex’s passions are music, fitness and finance. He also like spending quality time with his wife and their dog, Archie.    We are confident that Alex will make a quick and lasting impact on our products. Over the weekend, Blachford Inc. (West Chicago, IL) celebrated their company picnic at the Kane County Cougars Baseball game! We had beautiful weather and a great turnout. Employees were treated to ballpark food at Northwestern Medicine Field and even had a visit from Santa Claus! (the game had a Christmas in July theme). Congratulations to David Neihguk on receiving an award for “Best Student Paper” at Noise-Con 2024 from Institute of Noise Control Engineering - USA for his paper titled “Source Characterization Of A Ducted Source Using Acoustic Free Velocity”. David is one of our acoustic engineers at the Blachford Acoustics Lab. His paper proposed an alternative approach to characterizing acoustic sources using the concept of acoustic free velocity. The paper is motivated by the need for phase-preserving, independent sound source characterization techniques that can seamlessly integrate with simulation models to improve product noise control efficiency.
