Bizi is on a mission to transform school culture by increasing student motivation, elevating student achievement, and equipping students with the financial literacy skills to excel in the real world. Teachers and schools go to great lengths to motivate students using Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems. However, traditional approaches to PBIS are difficult to implement consistently, resulting in limited impact. Bizi as the Solution: Bizi makes it easy by leveraging the data that teachers input in their school's Student Information System to positively reinforce students. The result? An effective, low-lift solution for teachers and a high-impact, comprehensive PBIS system for schools. Students earn automated daily direct deposits of BiziBucks for their achievements in attendance, behavior, and academics. In their Bizi banking app, students manage their earnings, track progress towards goals, and make purchases within an online school store. Our Story: Bizi was built by teachers, for teachers; by school leaders, for school leaders. Kate Fulginiti and Jack Gibson, both Teach For America alumni, met in 2018 as teacher and assistant principal in Jacksonville, Florida. Their work together continued as assistant principal and principal across two Title I schools, ultimately receiving local and statewide recognition for their immense impact on student achievement. We have always believed (and continue to believe!) in the power of positivity and the role that it plays in transforming school culture. Join us as we reimagine how schools motivate students!

    We’re proud to partner with Community First Credit Union to recognize the amazing work being done in our schools! Each month, the Team Duval community selects a "School of the Month" that exemplifies the chosen theme. For September, we're highlighted schools that excel at building a culture of attendance. Today’s featured school is Joseph Stilwell Military Academy of Leadership, where students earn “school money” for attending class daily. These points can be used at the school store, and a dedicated attendance clerk ensures that students stay on track.     The Bizi train has officially left the station! 🚂 With immense pride and joy, we announce the hard launch of Bizi 2.0 for the 2024-2025 school year. We are thrilled to be currently partnering with 17 schools in Duval County, energizing more than 12,000 students with our platform! Our goal this year is simple: to take exceptional care of our partner schools, do the little things really well, learn as much as we can, and scale what works as we move forward.     🎉 Last week, Bizi had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles for the kickoff of Slauson & Co.'s 2024 Friends and Family Accelerator. We are extremely honored to have been selected for this innovative 3-month program, consisting of hands-on mentorship and a $150,000 investment. At the kickoff, Slauson & Co. emphasized the importance of the "Co" in their name- representing "the company they keep" close to them. Bringing out John Legend and Shaka Senghor to share about their rich experiences was quite the example of this! At Bizi, we are striving to call in individuals to be a part of the "company we keep." Follow our journey at Bizi as we embark on our mission to reimagine how schools motivate students!     Big news! 🌟 Bizi is LIVE and making an impact! Fiercely passionate about motivating students and alleviating barriers for teachers, former school leaders, Kate Fulginiti and Jack Gibson, launched Bizi in 2023 as a one-stop PBIS solution for schools and financial literacy tool for students. The co-founders have a laser focus on improving student outcomes and creating sustainable systems that support all students. “It’s not about giving teachers another tool. It’s about making their job easier.” Bizi’s pilot in four Duval County, Florida schools is yielding promising results: increased attendance, improved grades, and heightened engagement across each of the elementary, middle, and high school settings.
