Spring 2025 retailer conversations have kicked off. Do you know your beverage's shelf life? Most major retailers now require third-party shelf-life validation for new beverage products. So when do you get one? Before you start selling - accelerated shelf-life testing for a 12-month shelf life takes 4 months. A small-scale pilot production is an ideal time to run a shelf life study as you'll need to supply product to a lab for testing. So schedule a pilot at The Lab - Pilot & Quality Testing Facility today to get the professional product samples you'll want to provide to buyers and distributor teams AND to kick off your shelf life study.
Spring 2025 reset conversations have kicked off. A critical component of the sell in or sales process is providing branded samples to your new or prospective distributors and retail buyers. Do you have product samples for your distributor reps and retail buyers? The Lab - Pilot & Quality Testing Facility, BevSource's Pilot Production and QA facility, offers beverage brands the option to produce a small quantity (2-200 cases) of their new beverages on commercial-grade batching, brewing and packaging equipment. Our pilot production program includes packaging materials and a host of common QA tests. Our on-site lab also make it easy and convenient to run accelerated shelf-life testing! Right now, we have a few open Pilot dates available next month - DM me if you're interested. #BeverageIndustry #CPG #BeverageStartup #entrepreneurs #RetailSales

This year’s DOT week is from May 14-16th. For these three days the Department of Transportation (DOT) will be conducting increased safety stops on commercial vehicles. During this time, we can expect truck capacity to tighten and #freight rates to rise. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗽? To avoid the risk of being inspected, some drivers will opt not to drive. Those that do drive may be pulled off the road for safety violations and prohibited from returning until all violations are corrected. These two factors will dramatically reduce the volume of trucks on the road. 𝗧𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱. If you can be flexible, we suggest shipping before or after the DOT period. If you have something that must be delivered during this window, be sure to book transportation well in advance. We also recommend working with a logistics provider that either owns their trucks, has access to contract capacity, or can shift to alternate modes of transport when needed. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. The best way to avoid disruptions during DOT week is to use a reputable provider that routinely maintains their equipment. Carriers with a good maintenance history and a focus on safety will mostly avoid service disruptions caused by safety violations. At BevSource, we work with vetted #logistics providers and not only help our clients navigate DOT week but find solutions to minimize #supplychain disruptions anytime they arise. #shipping #transportation #transport #beverageindustry #beverages #startup #entrepreneurs
