A safety fair was held today at Betts HQ. Mark Patton, Betts Company Director of Safety, described the event as a day of "happy chaos," featuring annual hearing tests, uniform and shoe sizing, and flu and COVID shots provided by CVS Pharmacy. Hearing tests, required for manufacturers in California to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, were conducted, and each Team Member received their results upon completion. Betts also partnered with Lehigh CustomFit, "the industry's leading provider and innovator of managed PPE programs for safety footwear and wellness protection." The company hosted an onsite fitting event utilizing their Aetrex 3D foot scanner, which provided personalized, one-on-one assessments to ensure accurate footwear fitting. Orthotics were also available, and the foot imaging process guaranteed that Team Members received the correct size for their needs. Pretty cool, right? At Betts, safety is always our top priority.
