Providing care and guidance along life's final journey
About us
Bethany Hospice was founded by Diane Mead - R.N., B.S.N. to provide the highest level of care to patients throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Bethany Hospice is comprised of a dedicated team of diverse individuals who are all committed to upholding the principles of hospice as outlined in our mission: To guide all those who have been touched in some way by a life limiting illness, offering a comprehensive approach to comfort care, and ensuring a dignified quality of life. Hospice is a specialized type of care for those facing life-limiting illnesses and who are no longer pursuing or benefiting from aggressive or experimental treatments. At this juncture, the primary focus is shifted to quality of life. Hospice is not a place, but rather a service customized for each person whether in a person’s home, assisted living residence, nursing facility or hospital. The services and where they are provided are completely the choice of the patient and the family. Hospice teams with the patient, caregivers, medical staff, pastoral and other care to develop a plan of care to affirm life, provide guidance, and provide support. Services may include: • nursing care • personal care, such as bathing, feeding and dressing • medications related to the hospice diagnosis • medical equipment and supplies • counseling and bereavement support • spiritual support • community resource referrals All members of the Bethany Hospice Team are committed to the following standards of excellence: • Respect • Honesty • Integrity • Communication • Understanding • Cooperation • Professionalism • Competence • Accountability • Unconditional Positive Regard

Santa made his next stop to The Waters of Wexford. Christmas in July? How about a Hawaiian barbecue on the patio!

Santa's second stop was to Vincentian Home in the North Hills. Santa brought smiles along with encouragement to everyone he saw!
