    In my book, “𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀,” in Chapter 7, I talk about 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘦. Have you ever thought about the path taken by a guided missile? A target is determined, and the missile is deployed. But wait – the target has shifted its position, and the original path is now invalid. Not to worry, right? The guided missile adjusts itself and realigns to the new position of the target. It’s called “s̲e̲l̲f̲-̲c̲o̲r̲r̲e̲c̲t̲i̲n̲g̲.” That’s what successful people do with the moving targets in their lives. They self-correct. Let’s face it, distractions pop up all the time as you attempt to accomplish your tasks. It’s unrealistic to think distractions are going to magically disappear, so instead, you need to develop the ability to push past them to get back on track. All salespeople get distracted. It boils down to how quickly one realizes it and returns to the target. It’s all about self-correcting. Say to yourself, “𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩!” The power of your words will fill you with added confidence.
