A must-read for the week is this excellent Bellwether report from Alex Cortez, Michaela Gaziano, and Alexandria Smith for those interested in understanding promising models, the opportunities and challenges for the scaling of QUALITY teacher apprenticeship degrees. I love the profiling of all five programs that are The Pathways Alliance partners! Reach University, Brazosport Independent School District, Missouri State University, MI Talent Together, and the Tennessee Grow Your Own Center . Some other important points - The need for infrastructure to scale with quality - including the specific callout to data infrastructure - The need to support intermediaries and organizations who are bringing these programs together so we can solve common challenges - The need to increase funding AND support the braiding and blending of funds - Establish a common language - across education and workforce

I could not be prouder to close out Bellwether's work with Nebraska in which we helped them to develop a new approach to education data sharing for students under the jurisdiction of the juvenile court (both foster care and juvenile justice). Paul Beach, Sophie Zamarripa, Libby Schwaner, Lynette N. Tannis, Max Marchitello, and I spent 8 months working with 20+ leaders to develop a package of more than 30 recommendations for 4 state agencies. This new approach will improve education experiences and outcomes for some of the state's most vulnerable young people – increasing their chances of graduating from high school and making a successful transition to healthy adulthood. Stay tuned for more!

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump disagree on a lot when it comes to education — but beneath the partisan rancor you'll find some areas of agreement, too. Learn more about their education policies our recent report: https://lnkd.in/efnUB_nt

Let the GA impact continue! Today was a great chance to meet with our Replicate and Expand Cohort in Atlanta. In partnership with State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia, Bellwether is supporting Liberty Tech Charter School, DeKalb Brilliance Academy, International Community School (ICS), and Ethos Classical with quality growth planning. In our afternoon session, we had the privilege to focus on implementation planning with each school, ensuring that the growth priorities and related actions clearly outline the focused work to do to grow with quality. Such thoughtful implementation work by each school. Bellwether

I feel so privileged to have presented at National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) Conference with Carrie Irvin and Michele Neely to a full room of authorizers on the topic of assessing organizational readiness to expand and/or replicate their impact. We had a thoughtful discussion with authorizers on the 1) key readiness indicators for high-quality growth, 2) role of school boards in making these growth decisions, and 3) foundational supports that can be provided to schools/networks to ensure successful growth. So proud to share our partnership with the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia to support high-quality charter growth in Georgia. Bellwether
