Thank you Sentara Health and WTKR News 3 for sharing Audrey Leishman’s story. Together, we are raising awareness and helping survivors of Sepsis.🩵🦋
Audrey Leishman was living a healthy life when what seemed like the flu turned into a life-threatening battle with Sepsis. After being rushed to the ICU at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, she spent five days in a coma. Audrey survived, but like many, she had never heard of Sepsis. She is now helping others through her Begin Again Foundation, offering financial support to Sepsis survivors and increasing awareness about the medical condition. At Sentara, we’re raising awareness of sepsis and improving care. Our efforts have increased survival rates by 36% by implementing new, evidence-based protocols across all 12 hospitals, saving lives every day. Know the signs, act fast, and help save lives. We are excited to welcome Joaquin Niemann to Begin Again’s Golf & Gala event next month in Virginia Beach. The Chilean star was the No.1-rated amateur in the world in 2017-18, and raced to the highest level of the game after turning pro. By April 2022 he had recorded nine worldwide wins across multiple tours and was ranked 15th in the world. His Torque GC team won four times in 2023, and the captain claimed individual wins at LIV Golf Mayakoba and LIV Golf Jeddah in 2024.

We are excited to announce that Jon Rahm will be joining us in August for Begin Again Foundation’s 9th Annual Gala and Golf Tournament For those who are new to our page- Professional golfer Marc Leishman and his wife, Audrey formed the Begin Again Foundation in 2015 after Audrey’s near-death experience from sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and toxic shock syndrome. Funds from our gala and golf tournament will support survivors and families facing medical crises.
