Where Minds Flourish and Grow
About us
At Beautiful Minds, we believe that all minds are beautiful and can be changed by a strong therapeutic relationship and use of evidence-based practices. As a youth-guided, family-centered agency, youth and their families are assigned providers with experience relevant to neurodiverse treatment needs. We are trauma certified and have developed additional specialties based on experience and passions. As strength-based professionals, we are dedicated to providing specialized mental and behavioral healthcare services to youth and families living in New Jersey. The Beautiful Minds approach is shaped by the study of neuroscience, Applied Behavior Analysis, and positive psychology. Neuroscience: Experiences can alter the functions of the brain. An individual, like his or her brain, can flourish and grow, when nurtured and supported. Neuroscience has taught us that our own neuroplasticity allows for change through the creation of new neural pathways and losing those which are no longer used. Applied Behavior Analysis: Understanding an individual’s behaviors can lead to change. When behaviors are reinforced or rewarded, they are repeated. Positive Psychology: An individual’s focus on the positive can foster personal growth. Building upon existing strengths and traits can increase satisfaction and engagement.

⭐️ Shoutout to our latest Employee Spotlight, Bridgette Gavarone! ⭐️ A sweetheart and a pleasure to work with, Bridgette is one whose easygoing personality and conscientious ethics make her a team player that Beautiful Minds is proud to have. "Hardworking and good at communicating," her supervisor Nick mentions are her trademark on the team. When asked why she joined the company, she shares that she "felt called to something bigger." She "wanted to help a larger population of individuals," and Beautiful Minds has enabled her to do that while picking up on new skills. "I am happy with the decision to join this team, together we are always striving for greatness!" The Philadelphia native is a mom of two, a wife, and a current graduate student at Liberty University. Her interests and weekend hobbies include cooking (or trying new restaurants), shopping, playing with her puppy, and traveling. She loves tacos, and aspires to complete her Master's Degree in counseling within the next year. One proud moment in her life she shares is when her family watched her walk the stage to receive her Bachelor's Degree. Soon, she'll be crossing the stage to receive her Master's degree. We believe in you, Bridgette!

A great reminder we all need from time to time. Because to us it may seem like: 🤳 No harm done. But to children, it often means: 📵 Less play. 📵 Increased distress. 📵 Lower self esteem. 📵 Feeling more alone. 📵 Less communication. 📵 Reduced supervision. 📵 Reduced eye contact. 📵 Drastically less bonding. 📵 Undeveloped social skills. 📵 Increased sadness & anger. 📵 Insecure attachment styles. 📵 Disconnected relationships. 📵 Delayed speech & language. 📵 "Techno-ference" & "Still face". 📵 Feeling ignored & unimportant. 📵 Role modelled screen addiction. 📵 Hindered emotional intelligence. 📵 Insecure exploration of environments. 🫡 Video from @SwoleDadNation #Children #Development #Leadership #Management #Family #Wellbeing #Play #Connection #MentalHealth #MobilePhones #Linkedin #SocialNetworking #Education
