BCLC is the Province's gambling and entertainment company, whose funds generated through healthy play, go back to B.C.

About us

For 35 years, BCLC has been delivering exceptional entertainment to British Columbians by managing casino, lottery, bingo and sports betting. Thanks to our players, we’ve generated $28 billion for the Province of B.C. to support essential services such as healthcare, education and community programs. Our employees are in on the action too! Overall, BCLC staff spent more than 3,830 hours volunteering for local charities. Our employee-giving committees continue to organize events, silent auctions and draws to fundraise for important local causes selected by our people. We want everyone to enjoy gambling—and that means understanding how to play in a healthy way. We provide educational resources on how gambling works, and we help find support for those who need it.

Unveiling the newly refurbished c7ístkten̓ presentation room at BCLC! ✨ We are honoured that we were able to incorporate Indigenous history and culture in our newly renovated Kamloops presentation room, featuring a stunning vinyl art installation created in collaboration with the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Language and Culture team. The artwork depicts a traditional Secwépemc winter home, c7ístkten̓, which historically housed 15 to 30 people. This art symbolizes collaboration and connection as the room is a gathering space for our employees and visitors. The design process was deeply collaborative, engaging traditional knowledge keepers and Secwépemc advisors. "What I loved about this art project is that it was not just me," Indigenous artist Laura Saul explained. "I consulted with traditional knowledge keepers and applied their insights to bring the piece to life." Visitors can explore the art's intricate details and learn about the significance of the c7ístkten̓, with information on its historical context and a link to the recorded pronunciation of the name. This project is part of BCLC's ongoing commitment to building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and furthering our social purpose. We're excited to see c7ístkten̓ come to life as a shared space for gathering and connection and look forward to future initiatives that amplify our journey toward Indigenous reconciliation and lasting impact. The 20th Annual BC Gaming Facilities Charity Golf Tournament was an overwhelming success! After a three-year hiatus, the event returned in full force, raising an impressive $65,303.36 to support the BC Children's Hospital, Vancouver, and Make-A-Wish Canada. Of the total, $55,303.36 was donated to BC Children's Hospital, and $10,000 was contributed to Make-A-Wish, helping make a lasting impact on these important causes. This event wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of our Fundraising Committee and the support of everyone involved. Together, we continue to make a positive difference in our community.
