The event industry has seen some dramatic shifts over the past few years, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that the timeline for planning a major event is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Gone are the days when you could pull off a successful corporate event in just a few months. The landscape has changed, and if you want your event to stand out, it’s time to start thinking ahead—way ahead. We’re witnessing a shift back to pre-pandemic planning timelines, where securing key elements (like your venue, planning partner, and key technical roles) at least a year in advance is not just advisable; it’s essential. With the increased demand for in-person gatherings and the complexity of hybrid event logistics, waiting until the last minute is no longer an option. In our latest blog, we explore this shift, offering insights into why it’s happening and how you can stay ahead of the curve. We know that a visual is always helpful in sharing this information internally, so we’ve created a side-by-side comparison of pre and post-pandemic timelines to help paint the picture for your team. The Bash team spent this week in Las Vegas for on-site support at #Money2020! We wanted to take you along by sharing our favorites #exhibits and #sponsorbooths that were on the show floor. Ripple - One of the most stunning booths we have seen in quite some time! The high quality of the build gave the look of a permanent structure and created a visual interest of what was inside. Banking Circle - An expansive space that incorporated traditional elements with a modern feel.@thunes - Utilized every inch of space and created conversation circles outside of the primary booth. moderntreasury - Showcased product demos with branding front and center, they were able to accomplish multiple objectives in a compact footprint. Pine Labs - Pickleball swag that was wanted by all attendees! MBI - Hottest activation with the most buzz, we love to see a little fun on the show floor. Discover Financial Services - Props to Discover for anticipating needs and have the plushest carpet for a much-needed foot break. Interested in having a presence at a large conference, but aren't ready or interested in being a sponsor? There are many alternatives we have up our sleeve and would love to chat through how your brand can make a memorable impact on attendees. #brandsthatbash #makeitabash #money2020usa #fintechevent #ripple #bankingcircle #thunes #moderntreasury #pinelabs #mbi #discover #tradeshow #tradeshowbooth #sponsorship #exhibit #lasvegas

While it’s easy to get lost in the spreadsheets during budgeting season, it’s important to remember what those numbers are leading up to—your spring events. Whether it’s an offsite designed to inspire your team or an incentive trip meant to reward and rejuvenate, these moments are just around the corner, even if they don’t feel that way right now. Spring might seem distant as we close out the year, but the truth is, the groundwork for those events should be laid out now. The decisions you make in this season will ripple through to March, April, and beyond. Think of it like planting a garden: the seeds you plant today, and the care you give them, will determine the bloom you see come spring. It’s not just about ensuring the money is there—it’s about envisioning the experiences, the connections, and the impact you want to create. We’ve seen how early consideration and thoughtful planning can turn a simple offsite into a transformative experience or an incentive trip into an unforgettable journey. This is the season to start intentionally planning, so when spring arrives, everything is in place to make your events truly stand out.

As we approach the end of 2024, many of us are looking at our budgets and wondering, “What’s the best way to maximize every leftover dollar my budget has?” If you’ve been budgeting wisely, you’ve likely built in a 10% buffer to cover any unexpected expenses. But what happens if you end the year under budget? Unused funds can pose a challenge—when stakeholders see that the full budget wasn’t utilized, they might decide to reallocate that budget to a department or area of the business that is growing out of their budget, therefore leaving you with less for 2025. In other words, if you don’t use it, you risk losing it. What if you could spend that remaining 2024 budget in a way that positions you for an even more successful 2025? Consider bringing in Bash Creative to assist you in all of your plans for next year, and determine what work could be taken off your plate now so you have a head start when you return from the holidays. On the heels of a wildly successful production with our clients in 2023, we were charged with even loftier goals for enhancing Atrium's presence at Dreamforce 2024. We were tasked with transforming a mundane co-working space, an empty nightclub, and an ordinary cafe into chic, branded environments that delivered an exceptional guest experience—while staying within specific budget parameters. The result? Spaces that embodied the client’s brand and culture, fostering positivity, collaboration, and innovation at every turn. Swipe through to see the transformation come to life🌿⚡️ While partnering with experts in the industry can take your event to the next level, we know it’s not always the right time for every company. That’s why Danielle Leeke, our Director of Events, is sharing practical tips on how to elevate any space into a branded, impactful environment—on a budget. From design strategies to branding tricks, these insights can help you create memorable experiences, even with limited resources. 1. Opt for Neutral Tones with a Cohesive Design Using neutral tones for furniture creates a clean, timeless aesthetic that allows your brand to shine without overwhelming the space. By selecting pieces with a cohesive design, you can create a polished look that feels intentional and well-planned. 2. Subtle Pops of Color for Brand Recognition Incorporating your brand's color palette through subtle accents can make a big impact without breaking the budget. Think of color as the ‘finishing touch’ to pull the space together. 3. Maximize the Use of Branded Signage and Digital Displays Even on a tight budget, branded signage and digital displays are cost-effective ways to make your presence known. This not only ensures visibility but also transforms a generic venue into a fully branded environment with minimal effort. 4. Partner with Local Vendors for Cost Savings Working with local vendors not only supports small businesses but often results in better deals. By skipping nationwide providers, you avoid middleman fees and get direct access to quality services. Interested in hearing more? If you work in events, October is always crunch time. It's when the largest conferences happen, usually predicting what a company's pipeline and budgets are going to look like for the following year, and when you are most exhausted from the pure rush of adrenaline of the season. It's really easy to check out or move on to the next as soon as you have wrapped your busiest event season of the year. But what you don't realize is this lost time is some of the most valuable you have all year. We’ve seen how a thoughtful approach during these final months can transform the success of future events. It’s not just about the execution on the day of the event; it’s about the journey leading up to the event, how you adjust while executing the event, AND what you learn in reflection immediately after the event. From the initial spark of an idea to the final post-event debrief, each step in the lifecycle plays a crucial role in creating memorable experiences. In our latest blog, "The Lifecycle of an Event: From Vision to Execution," we delve into the stages that define a successful event. It’s a reflection on the process—a reminder that every detail, from conceptualization to post-analysis, contributes to the bigger picture. As you navigate through this October, consider how these insights can help you fine-tune your strategies for your upcoming Q1 events. It’s not about rushing to the finish line; it’s about setting the stage to accomplish your long-term goals.
