Connecting domestic and international students with high quality internships and academic classes in NYC
Today (the Wednesday before Fall Orientation) is my 5 year anniversary working with Bard College and Bard's Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program (BGIA) program. I can't believe it's been 5 years of welcoming students from around the world to live, study, and intern in New York City for a semester or (for a few) a whole year. It's involved moving student accommodations from the Upper East Side, to Midtown, and now to Williamsburg; from fully in-person to fully remote to (now) every hybrid option you can think of; more resume and cover letter reviewing than I can say; and, most importantly, supporting 100s of students as they start their professional journeys and experience life in NYC. I hope we've helped answer questions like "How do I become X?" "What can I do with my degree?" and "I'm so interested in Y, how do I link that to a way to build my career after I graduate?" and pointed students towards happy, satisfying, and prosperous futures. As the new #BardNYC program grows and expands I'm excited to see what the future holds for us all. Celebrating my work anniversary and feeling thankful for this #workmilestone
