We were able to capture so many inspiring stories at our 2024 Student Ambassador Academy, including this one from Amanda Bier 🧡 Amanda’s path to Banfield started 8 years ago as an Veterinary Assistant. Now, as one of our awesome student ambassadors while in veterinary school, she is a perfect example of how everyone has a different journey. Mentorship, teamwork, and support enable Associates like her to chase their dreams. Her enthusiasm and advocacy for general practice preventive care is inspirational and her standout advocacy for unique careers pathways is amazing. All the best as you continue vet school, Amanda! 🚀 #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldCareers #BanfieldLife #WSU Mars Veterinary Health WSU College of Veterinary Medicine

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Alea Harrison, had the opportunity to visit with NextVet intern, Isabella, at our Happy Valley, OR location and shared some words of advice for all our NextVet interns. Continuing to build on the knowledge you've gained, build your community, and take the impact you've made with you into your future endeavors are all ways you can continue to thrive. And as Dr. Harrison said, “You matter, you have an impact. You’re making a difference.” Good luck to all of our NextVets in the next step of their journeys! #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldLife #BanfieldCareers #NextVet #Internship #VeterinaryMedicine #VetStudents Alea Harrison

Today, we're honoring #WomensEqualityDay and celebrating the certification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote in 1920. Hear from Megan Croce, who leads Banfield’s legal & risk teams, on how we encourage the advancement and development of women leaders, while recognizing that there is still work to be done for women with intersecting identities and striving for equality and inclusion for all. 💜🧡 Katie Powell, Women of Banfield leader and Division VP of Field Operations, also shared what this day means to her: "As a woman leader at Banfield, gender equality is crucial to me because it ensures that diverse perspectives are heard, valued, and integrated into our decision-making processes. This drives innovation and better outcomes. With 80% of our workforce being female, it’s vital that we ensure our voices are heard, our contributions recognized, and our growth supported. I see this come to life every day at Banfield by seeing all associates, but especially other women, fostering an inclusive environment and encouraging each other to lead, innovate, and thrive at every level in the organization." Thanks to our Women of Banfield Diversity Resource Group and EI&D team for creating opportunities for our Associates to connect, celebrate, and lift up women in the practice. #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldLife #BanfieldCareers #WomenofBanfield #ProudlyMars #VeterinaryMedicine Megan Croce

We’re still inspired by the incredible energy and perspectives our Student Ambassadors brought to the 2024 Student Ambassador Academy last month! 🧡 One of our Student Ambassadors that joined us, William Ringold, talked about his #BanfieldLife experience, how he connected with the Associates and teams in our Lawrenceville, GA market, and how much he has learned so far. Thank you again for sharing, William! We are so happy to support your career development and aspirations as you grow in this profession. Have a great school year! 🚀🎉 #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldCareers #BanfieldLife #VeterinaryMedicine #ABetterWorldForPets #VeterinaryStudents #VetMed Mars Veterinary Health William Ringold

We caught up with our #NextVet summer intern, Noa, on her experience at our Springfield location outside of Philadelphia. She's one of the 30 students (out of 500 applicants!) to join our NextVet program, which is a paid internship program for students 16 and up to get hands on experience and see what a profession in veterinary industry is really like. Noa knew she always wanted to work with pets and be a veterinarian and this internship has given her the chance to see what her career could look like. It's all made possible because of our amazing Associates who host NextVet interns at their hospitals and work to inspire the next generation of pet professionals. #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldLife #BanfieldCareers #Internship #CareerDevelopment #VeterinaryMedicine

Our latest #BanfieldGivesBack spotlight is from Gastonia, North Carolina where four Associates and one extern provided free wellness services to 40 pets in the local community alongside Gaston Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic. Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Alea Harrison, joined in to help give back and get to know the local team better. 🧡 Thank you so much to Community Champion, Dr. Melissa Goff, for organizing such a wonderful and impactful event and to Dr. Danielle Burris, Marisa Maness, and Heather Hudson for attending. Our #DoGoodMovement continues to build momentum because of our amazing Banfield Associates and their dedication to giving back in their local communities. #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldLife #Volunteering #Wellness #VeterinaryMedicine #PetCare

Many congrats to our president Mony Iyer for being recognized as Pet CEO of the Year by the Pet Independent Innovation Awards. From deploying team-based care in our hospitals to launching Banfield’s expanded #BanfieldGivesBack program, Mony embodies our purpose – #ABetterWorldforPets – by leading with the wellbeing of pets and people at the center. A huge thank you to our Associates for an impactful first half of 2024 and your dedication to delivering high-quality veterinary care to pets in our hospitals and in your communities through our new paid volunteering offering. Let’s keep going together, United in Care! #ProudlyMars #BanfieldPetHospital

We absolutely love seeing so many #BanfieldGivesBack moments this summer. This Rabies & Microchip event with Wight County Animal Services and Pennies for P.A.W.S. brought together Associates from five different Banfield hospitals where they served 66 pets in just a couple of hours. Quite an impact for this rural farm community. Thanks to Dr. Maria Ramirez Gorton for leading and all the Associates who came out to volunteer in Windsor, VA! #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldLife #Volunteering #VetCare #PetCare #VetMed

One way we pay it forward at Banfield is through our youth-focused programs. #NextVet and #BanfieldPetAcademy open doors for younger generations to explore careers in veterinary medicine while providing our Associates with meaningful opportunities to give back in their communities. Thank you, American Animal Hospital Association, for speaking with our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Alea Harrison about the impact these programs have on helping to strengthen and diversify the future of veterinary medicine.
