Michelle loves working at Baker McKenzie because she feels empowered to make meaningful impact in how the Firm leverages technology on a day-to-day basis. Michelle is a key contributor to the work on the Firms adoption of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technology. She believes that this innovative work is a key part of our success, as is not only exciting, but also positions the Firm as leaders in technological advancement within the legal industry. Baker McKenzie celebrated its 75th anniversary throughout the month of July. Offices throughout the globe celebrated by giving back to their local communities through Baker McKenzie’s #MakeADifferenceMonth. Here in Tampa, we had the unique opportunity to partner with Metropolitan Ministries to paint a mural at their Tampa campus; promoting hope for all who pass by. Our wonderful design team worked directly with the teens to create a piece of art that signified what the Met Min means to them; hope for a bright future. We’ve had lots of fun painting seeds of hope throughout the month of July, and we are so proud to support Metropolitan Ministries. Stay tuned for the final reveal which we plan to post soon - you will not want to miss this!

This month, Baker McKenzie Tampa’s employee highlight is Eddie Soulandros and Meagan Launikitis from the New Business Intake Team. A unique professional development opportunity available to colleagues at no cost is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Eddie and Meagan recently completed a Yellow Belt certification by completing a project focused on improving productivity for their global team. Their team is responsible for protecting the Firm's reputation globally by continuously identifying, analyzing, and evaluating clients to utilize risk management and mitigate any adverse effects. They find fulfillment in their work and opportunities for growth and qualitative service, through projects like their Yellow Belt, their collaborative team and the Firm’s continued focus on employee engagement. We are so proud to celebrate Baker McKenzie’s 75th anniversary with colleagues throughout the globe. Last week #TeamTampa hosted a volunteer week Metropolitan Ministries. Colleagues dedicated their time to various programs, providing resources to help unhoused community members lead a self sufficient life.
We're celebrating 75 years of Baker McKenzie with #MakeaDifferenceMonth 🙌 From Barcelona and Singapore to San Francisco and Lima, our offices are giving back to their local communities... 🥗 Our Barcelona office partnered with Barcelona Actua, a volunteer organization that focuses on helping vulnerable communities through various programs and pathways, to help feed those in need. 🍬 Our Lima office invited Dulce Acción, an entrepreneurial group of talented individuals with Down syndrome, to showcase their business acumen and sell their homemade sweets. 🤝 As part of an ongoing partnership, our Tampa Center volunteers spent time at Metropolitan Ministries, a non-profit helping those in need in the Tampa area. 👕 Our Lima office supported Juguete Pendiente by organizing a successful donation drive to collect essential items such as clothing and blankets to support children in need. 💬 Litigation Specialist Peter Barto, who heads the Daraja Academy's Wildlife Project in his free time, presented to our California offices. Daraja Academy is a school dedicated to providing a safe space and education opportunities for Kenyan girls. 🌱 Our London Corporate M&A team volunteered at Dulwich Heath for HandsOn London.
