Executive Director, Jasper Liem, LCSW represented Attic Youth Center at the VPOTUS Pride Reception last night. Kamala Harris gave an enthusiastic speech reminding all that LGBTQ rights have been hard fought and our fight is not over! Great to see Admiral Rachel Levine, Kelley Robinson, Rue Landau, Zachary Wilcha, and Simran Sidhu. Oh, and look who else!

Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! Thank you to OUT@Comcast for providing youth at The Attic with a program of career panels last week! Our youth had a fun, engaging and enriching time building connections with LGBTQ+ role models from a variety of different backgrounds and career paths. The panel focused on goal setting, skill stacking, building a diverse career, and other advice for existing as LGBTQ+ folx in the workplace and being one’s most authentic self. The Attic Youth Center appreciates Comcast commitment to being a diverse, equitable and inclusive company, as well as their supportive partnership! And of course we want to give a special shout out to Scott Barnes, Director of Events & Hospitality at Comcast, and an esteemed member of The Attic's Board of Directors!

Big shout out to our friends Dion Wiles and Samitrius Hart from Republic Bank - PA, NJ, & NY for volunteering to personally cook the meal served at our Black Ball: A Celebration of Black Culture! The soul food prepared by Dion and Samitrius was absolutely divine and the perfect way to close out this year's Black History Month!
