    📲 THE POWER OF SMS MARKETING IN RETAIL 📲 Last week, I had the privilege of joining a panel of speakers at the Attentive Thread World Tour event in Sydney. The topic was 'The Personalisation Playbook: Real-world strategies for data-driven marketing" (with an sms flavour, of course). Some of the key takeaways, that I covered, in relation to using data to inform your sms strategy are below: 🎯 SMS is evolving into the top-performing marketing channel. Gone are the days of it being a last-minute add-on, now it’s driving serious results, due to the excellent cut-through it has among the marketing clutter. However, we still have a long way to go to catch up to the US: Many retailers are still defaulting to a 'batch & blast' approach and need to start using their owned data to better segment their audiences. The batch and blast approach is leading to poor customers experiences and unsubscribes = loss of revenue. You can send fewer sms' but get a higher CTR. 🚀 Brands using a CDP to power their SMS campaigns are seeing massive success. Hyper-personalisation based on first-party customer data is key to delivering the right message at the right time, to the right person on the best platform. Bringing in data from multiple channels (think website behaviour, email engagement, reviews, POS etc) into one central location means a better understanding your customers and using that knowledge to get better results from your sms campaigns. 🔄 Loyalty is a hot topic right now and SMS is offering both long-term relationship-building and short-term wins. Loyalty isn't just about plugging in a piece of tech, its about those intimate interactions you have with your customers. 📈 Clients are increasingly recognising SMS for its high engagement and conversion rates, especially with strategies like win-back campaigns, targeting unengaged email subscribers, abandoned cart reminders and expiring reward alerts. 🔮 With AI, two-way messaging and privacy concerns on the rise, the future of SMS is packed with potential for deeper personalisation and two-way interactivity.     Earlier this month, Attentive team members and leadership team spent two days at our annual Luminaries Retreat alongside our incredible Customer Advisory Board. They caught up with him about how Attentive is taking our AI solutions on a world tour 🌎 Customers like Claire's have seen a big lift since implementing Attentive AI–like measurable revenue growth and improved customer experiences thanks to AI Pro. Attentive also played a part in helping Claire's expand their SMS programs beyond the U.S., launching across the UK, France, and Ireland.
