The future of Beauty in Travel Retail Last week I was invited by the South American Duty Free Association (ASUTIL) to the 2024 Conference in Bogota to talk in a panel about the future of Beauty in Travel Retail. Besides having a great time meeting industry leaders in the region, below are my main take away from our discussion: 1. Beauty and Wellness unity: Consumers are already informed enough to understand that Beauty and Wellness go hand in hand and the future of beauty will be very much link to wellness. This unity of beauty and wellness gives rise to beauty ingestible, wellbeing devices, new rituals and personalized skincare offerings that promote overall health. 2. Co-Created Personalization: The demand for personalization and cocreation of products to meet consumer unique needs will be key to drive brand loyalty. 3. Personal interaction is even more relevant among GenZ- Besides the obvious digital focus, young consumers seek the expertise of Beauty Consultants significantly above average not only as beauty experts, but health experts.  4. Sustainability is an industry challenge: Retailers and Brands efforts should go hand in hand to meet consumer already high expectations. I would like to thank Carlos Loaiza-Keel for the invitation to a conference that is growing more and more every year and of course my panel colleagues Peter Mohn, Diego Artola and Yennifer Abreu for a great discussion. #ASUTIL #TFWA #TravelRetail #Beauty #dutyfree

    Owner & CEO, m1nd-set 5.000+ followers

Gen Z shoppers in Latin America are the highest spenders in travel retail! A detailed presentation of m1nd-set’s Latin America & Caribbean research was presented by Swiss-based research agency at the annual regional conference organized by ASUTIL, where m1nd-set CEO & Owner Dr. Peter Mohn was among the speakers and moderators. The detailed shopper and air traffic research reveals that the younger generations from the Latin America and Caribbean region are the highest spenders in travel retail. Gen Zs spend the most with an average of $135, despite below average footfall and conversion among this young shopper segment. Millennials follow in second place with $129 spend across all categories in travel retail. Footfall among Millennials is in line with the global average but they have a tendency to purchase more than the global average in Latin America. #travelretail #dutyfree #latinamerica #insights #genz
