November is Children’s Grief Awareness Month, a time to recognize the unique challenges that young ones face when coping with loss. Child life specialists play a vital role in supporting grieving children by providing a safe space to express their feelings and fears and providing developmentally appropriate information about the death or loss they experience. By fostering open communication and creating comforting environments, child life specialists empower children to navigate their feelings and honor their loved ones. They also provide resources for families, guiding them in supporting their child through this challenging time. Thank you, child life professionals, for supporting grieving children all year long💙 #ChildrensGriefAwarenessMonth #ChildLifeSpecialists #GriefSupport
