We were so happy to see members of the Asphalt Green community lace up their cleats and join us for our third annual Golf Classic last week! Proceeds from yesterday’s event will support player development, professional growth opportunities for our coaches, facilities and equipment, and will help expand access to opportunities through scholarship and community-based programs. We are sincerely grateful to our sponsors — with a special thank you to our Title Sponsor: Five Pines Capital Advisors — for their generosity and support that will continue to make Asphalt Green a premier destination for athletes of all abilities and backgrounds.

A little rain couldn't stop us from having a great time at the Healthy Aging Fair! From speeches to screenings to workshops, this event showed the importance of sports, fitness, and play for all - regardless of age. Older adults should have equal access to world-class fitness services. Thanks to NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and NYC Department for the Aging for partnering with us for this amazing event!

For three-year-old Mark Negoduik, the journey to our Super Sprites swim class was unimaginable. Days before Russia invaded Ukraine, Mark was diagnosed with brain cancer. To get him the life-saving treatment he needed, the Negoduiks knew they'd have to flee home, and with the help of @elanalailakoenig, Mark and his family set off for New York, Today, Mark is officially cancer-free. But after hearing about Asphalt Green, Mark's father Dima was eager to have Mark learn to swim with us. Last week, we were thrilled to have Mark take part in his first swim lesson at our Battery Park City campus. Watch to learn more about Mark's incredible journey.

This September, we're heading to Battery Park City to meet our knockout of an instructor of the month, Brad Morris! Brad joined Asphalt Green in 2018 following decades of experience in the fitness world. From competing as a professional kickboxer to receiving 13 training certifications to teaching Jane Fonda aerobics, Brad has done it all! Brad's drive extends to his commitment to ensuring his classes are fun and challenging. Brad's training philosophy? "Train hard, don't hog the equipment, and stay off your phone. Mix up your workouts and give your body variety." Get in the ring with Brad and see why he's a world-class instructor by booking a class with him on our website!

We're pumping it up at our Upper East Side campus to celebrate August's instructor of the month, Brian Salkin! Brian joined Asphalt Green in 2021, following the start of his fitness career in 2015. After spending most of his life disinterested in sports, he got bit by the fitness bug in 2013 when he was introduced to BODYPUMP with some engaging instructors. He quickly saw the life-changing benefits of personal fitness and decided to pay it forward by becoming an instructor! Brian's training philosophy? "I want each participant to know everyone has their own "why." Every participant is on their unique journey. When you compare yourself to someone else, you start to lose your "why." So know that you're unique. You're on your path in fitness." Pump up your core with Brian and see why he's a world-class instructor by booking a class with him on our website!
