In August 2024, a training has been co-organized in Taiwan by Lee and Li, Attorneys At Law and RHTLaw Vietnam, aiming at introducing the updated legal insights about the capital market of Vietnam. The event is within the framework of cooperation between Lee & Li and RHTLaw Vietnam, giving our lawyers opportunities for skills enhancement, knowledge sharing and cultural exchange. Currently, approximately 40 percent of investments from Taiwan are directed toward Southeast Asia, with Vietnam becoming one of the largest destinations for Taiwanese overseas investment, boasting more than 3,000 projects and a total registered capital exceeding US$30 billion. As the new Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights came into force on 1 July 2024, Decree No. 55/2024/ND-CP issued by the Government also took effect at the same time with detailed guidance for the implementation of the new Law. This Decree is developed to outline the carryout of consumer protection activities to keep up with modern consumption practices, especially in the rapid growth of e-commerce.
