Icelandic-Chinese jazz star Laufey’s "Christmas Magic" debuts on the 2024 ASCAP Top New Classic Holiday Songs chart 💙✨❄️ The enchanting track is featured in the new Amazon MGM Studios film 🎥 Red One, starring Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu and more! When Amazon MGM Studios approached Laufey to craft a nostalgic, timeless Christmas song for the film, she couldn’t help but say yes: “[Red One] has this Icelandic witch in it who is played by my friend, Kiernan Shipka, so it all felt quite serendipitous!” Laufey found inspiration in her producer’s young daughters, who hadn’t yet experienced the magic of Christmas. “I wrote a list of all the things I loved about Christmas growing up, the things I find funny and lovely about it, and that’s how the song came about.”
