Have you ever wondered what a monthly donation of $15 can really do? The truth is: a lot! The ArtWorks Allies are our supporters who give monthly to support our important mission! Because of our Allies, whose monthly donations provide consistent, flexible dollars, our 2024 Environmental Arts interns were able to: 🌿Tour Green Tech Station, an environmental education destination in the Garden Homes neighborhood which showcases green infrastructure and research and development 🌿Attend the first annual "Drawn to Lead" event at Arts@Large, an artist panel and small group discussions about careers in character-driven art 🌿Experience FuzzPop's Deep Lake Future, an immersive adventure exploring the impacts of invasive species on our Great Lakes 🌿Hike and explore Riveredge Nature Center, a beautifully restored, independent natural sanctuary featuring forests, prairies, ponds, and Milwaukee River frontage 🌿Tour MMSD facilities and learning about water quality testing These experiences aren't just fun and learning for a day – as high school students, our interns begin to build a professional network of individuals and organizations who are working on real solutions in our community. Last Saturday, we were joined by over 55 attendees from our diverse ArtWorks' community in celebration of the Environmental Art's Final Unveiling, and we are greatly appreciative of everyone who came out to support! ❤️ It was a wonderful day to recognize and celebrate our amazing environmental arts interns and all of the work they have accomplished over this past year 🌿 Special thank you to Quad for hosting and to everyone who helped organize the memorable day! 🎉
