Interesting read!
In today’s job market, emerging museum professionals seek more than just academic credentials—they can stand out with hands-on experience. Recognizing this dynamic, the Bullock Texas State History Museum launched two new paid apprentice positions earlier this year, where full-time employees split duties between visitor services and another department matching their career goals. 🔍 Find out how the museum structured these roles, and the outcomes so far: https://lnkd.in/eVyrm8Bd

I'm excited to be speaking on a panel at this year's State of the Arts Summit, hosted and organized by Arts for LA. I am a staunch advocate of this organization and am honored to contribute my part. It will be great to connect with folks in the sector and to spend time with a community of ardent arts advocates and leaders.

Collaboration with community is key!
Spotlight on our Strengthening the Sector grantees! 📣 This summer Create CA and Arts for LA joined with 83 community-based organizations to raise concerns that some California school districts are: 🚨 Making decisions without input from their communities, and 🚨 Not complying with Proposition 28’s supplement requirements by using their funds to replace existing arts education funding. Read the letter they sent to the California Governor, State Superintendent, Senate President, and Assembly Speaker to express those concerns: https://lnkd.in/eRQkqhFe #AdvocacyinAction #Artsed #Artseducation #CreativeCalifornia #ArtStudent #ArtTeacher #EducationEquity #Equity #artedmatters #StrengtheningTheSector #Prop28
