The Jumi project, situated in Juan, Mina, #Colombia, spans an area of 24 hectares and employs Arctech's flagship #1P single-axis #solartracking system, #SkyLine II, renowned for its unparalleled stability and high wind resistance. Owned by Vatia | Colombia, this project can generate 23,860 MWh of #greenelectricity annually, sufficient to power approximately 12,650 homes and offset 104,071 tons of CO2 over its entire lifecycle, equivalent to planting more than 4 million trees. As one of the top five #solartracker suppliers in the #LATAM region, #Arctech has been dedicated to providing advanced solar tracking and racking solutions for local #solarplants. To date, the company has amassed a portfolio exceeding 3.5 GW in the region, supported by its five local offices in #Chile, #Brazil, #Colombia, #Argentina, and #Mexico. #ArctechProject Two months ago, 360Energy officially announced the commencement of operations for its La Rioja project, located in Nonogasta, #Argentina. This 122 MW #solarplant utilizes both Arctech’s #1P single-axis #solartracker #SkyLine and its advanced 1P #tracker with a synchronous #multipointdrive mechanism, #SkyLineII. The project site experiences wind speeds up to 45 m/s; both #SkyLine and #SkyLineII are designed to withstand such high-wind events due to their exceptional stability and durability. Notably, SkyLine II’s multi-point drive system allows it to achieve a wind stow threshold of 22 m/s, the highest in the industry, enabling extended tracking hours compared to industry standards. Importantly, this project will supply power to #Stellantis’ Ferreyra and El Palomar plants. As one of the largest #solarparks in Argentina, covering an area of 299 hectares with an installed capacity of 122 MW, it is expected to generate approximately 300 GWh annually, sufficient to power over 80,000 homes and equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 130,000 tons per year. This project, co-developed by ConectSolar and Órigo Energia, is anticipated to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, provide sufficient power for large-scale enterprise operations, and optimize capital expenditure. Currently, Arctech's #SkyLine is enhancing the solar plant's performance by maximizing #energycapture. SkyLine, as a single-axis #solartracker, marks the inaugural product in Arctech’s “Sky-series” portfolio. To date, the cumulative installed capacity of SkyLine has surpassed 5.4GW, with the latest iteration being #SkyLineII, which features an advanced synchronous #multipointdrive mechanism. #ArctechEvent Two months ago, the #ArctechLATAM team led by Olvia Malagón Pfeiffer, Head of #NorthLatam at #Arctech, participated in the Future Energy Summit 2024 held in #Colombia. During this event, besides joining in a panel discussion, Olvia accepted the interview by Guido Gubinelli from Energía Estratégica Latinoamérica. In this interview, Olvia emphasized the potential of the Colombian #solarmarket while cautioning about regulatory challenges. "We are all prepared to move forward when the projects start. As #solartracker suppliers, our responsibility is to develop reliable structures that can adapt to Colombia's environmental conditions, such as wind, corrosion, and topography," she stated. This project, undertaken by Apolo Energia, marks Arctech's continued commitment to the Latin American #solarmarket. Constructed by the Renergeia Group, this 13.52 MWp facility can generate approximately 25,387 MWh annually, sufficient to meet the average electricity demand of around 7,051 households and prevent the emission of approximately 12,927 tons of CO₂ per year, equivalent to planting 593,801 trees.
