About us

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is the Roman Catholic Church for 19 counties in western and southwestern Ohio. The church is currently led by His Excellency Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop. The Province of Cincinnati also includes the Dioceses of Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Steubenville, and Toledo, each of which are led by their respective bishops. Through hundreds of parishes, schools, hospitals, agencies and institutions, the Archdiocese proclaims and follows the teachings of Christ that lead to peace, joy and the fullness of life. This local church of almost half a million Catholics, founded as a diocese in 1821, is strong in faith and rich in tradition.

  • EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Andy Zerhusen! Andy joined the Catholic Schools Office as the Assistant Director of Faith Development, where he will serve principals, teachers and campus ministers, helping them strengthen the Catholic identity within our schools. Prior to serving the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Andy spent 13 years as a high school religion teacher and coach, and served two years as an assistant principal at St. Monica Catholic School in the Diocese of Dallas, TX. Most recently, he was the Director of Mission Integration and Catholic Identity at Seton High School, back in his hometown of Cincinnati. Andy and his wife, Amy, are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this year. They reside in Villa Hills, KY, and are members of St. Agnes Parish. They enjoy traveling, especially exploring America’s National Parks.

  • EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Denise Jasek! She recently joined the Center for the New Evangelization as Associate Director for Adult Evangelization and Pastoral Ministry. She supports evangelists and pastoral ministers in their roles to renew and grow parishes, with a focus on growing missionary disciples and fostering opportunities to encounter God. She finds joy in accompanying others on their faith walk and fostering intimacy in prayer, especially alongside our Eucharistic Lord and Blessed Mother Mary. Denise and her husband, Chris, are blessed with five grown children. New empty nesters, they enjoy hiking, camping, and birding together.

  • The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is accepting applications for a HR Consultant. The HR Consultant will assist the Director of Human Resources in providing leadership to parishes, schools and AOC offices regarding their HR needs and legal requirements and foster a positive work environment based on Catholic values and principles.   • EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Veronica Murphy! She is the Director of Religion Curriculum and Resources in the Catholic Schools Office. Veronica came to the archdiocese by way of Dayton where she started teaching at St. Rita Catholic School. She is an eclectic Catholic educator, having taught Religion, Music, Art, Reading and Math—or any subject needed for a particular year. Teaching the faith to students and working in the mission field of Catholic schools is her passion. It was this devotion that caused the pastor to call her into school leadership. She has been principal at St. Rita, Mother Brunner, Purcell Marian and Royalmont Academy, giving her experience in Pre-K through high school. Veronica and her husband, Bruce, attend St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, where they volunteer their time and talent. She cantors and directs the Bell Choir, sharing her gift of music with the parish.

    EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Colin Rahill! Colin is the new Director of Digital Engagement for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Before joining the archdiocese, Colin worked as a content writer for Dynamic Catholic and attended Harvard Law School. Colin lives in the Cincinnati area and is excited to move to Over-The-Rhine. He is a parishioner at Old St. Mary’s, a recently published author, and loves to volunteer with Catholic Charities. In his down time, Colin enjoys trail running and listening to sacred music.

    EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Father Tom DiFolco! Father DiFolco is from Canton. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in 1983 and has ministered as a priest in St. Bartholomew, Finneytown; St. Joseph, Cincinnati; St. Martin de Porres, Lincoln Heights; St. Agnes, Bond Hill; and St. Michael Parish, Sharonville. Father DiFolco retired from active priestly ministry in 2018. In addition to parish assignments, Father DiFolco he has also been the Director of the Priestly Formation Office, and served on the Presbyteral Council and the Priests Personnel Board. In April of 2023, he became the part-time Associate Director for Leadership Development for the archdiocesan Center for Parish Vitality. Father DiFolco has a great love for the Holy Land and the Bible. In both 2022 and 2023, he served as a volunteer on archeological digs in Tel Burna, Isreal and Hippos Sussita, Isreal. Father DiFolco also has an active love of horses and occasionally offers a helping hand at a horse stable in Clermont County.
