About us

Arcana is a boutique executive search firm dedicated to providing talent search and talent consulting for real estate clients throughout North America. Our firm specializes in facilitating mid- to senior-level talent searches and placement across investment, investor relations, and c-suite functions. Our placement success track record includes clients across real estate private equity, real estate debt, development firms, REITs, and real estate securities. We are uniquely equipped with principal-side experience and a proven track record in identifying and attracting top talent for the real estate sector. We are deeply enmeshed in the real estate industry, staying current on the investment environment, staying engaged with top talent, and advising our clients on the micro and macro market trends we are keenly aware of, real-time. Our approach to real estate executive search starts with a comprehensive download of our clients' organizational culture, strategic goals, and specific talent requirements. We work closely with our clients to define the particular individual needed for success in their unique context. This attention to precision ensures we target and deliver candidates who possess the requisite skills, and who also have those more intangible elements that will align with our clients' values and strategies.

We've just started a search for a mid-level Fundraiser for my $2B AUM South Florida client. With a sixth fund launch ($300M target raise) approaching, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who has product knowledge and investor relations experience looking to grow their real estate fundraising career alongside the firm's Founder. The firm invests in value-add industrial and office assets throughout the Southeast. Please apply via Linkedin.

Late last year we reached out to our real estate candidate network (nearly 21,000 on LinkedIn, and ~2,000 active talent audience) to invite them to confidentially self-report their 2023 actual compensation. After prioritizing client search mandates the last few months, we're pleased to have completed the data aggregation into a concise yet informative compensation report. This report is focused solely on the real estate investment (acquisitions, asset management, development) and fundraising talent functions, which Arcana is niched in. You can download this report from our website (link below in comment). Looking forward to fielding thoughts on this and any suggestions for improving next year's survey! Let us know if you're planning new hires and would like to have a more holistic conversation about what has been happening in the talent market.

Are you looking to elevate your resume and LinkedIn profile? Your resume is a critical tool in opening conversations and doors. It should be well defined, simple for recruiters and prospective employers/partners to digest, and reflect your unique value-add, in an elegant way. Establishing and maintaining an accurate, professional LinkedIn profile is also critical to being tapped for high-quality, unadvertised opportunities and confidential searches. It provides a platform for hiring managers to learn more about you beyond your resume submission. It’s also a great resource to grow your network.
