We love innovative technology! Our Marketing team recently introduced “Just Baked” vending machines in staff dining rooms in Washington, DC. This cutting-edge robotic restaurant delivers fresh, oven-baked meals around the clock, providing staff with access to hot breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts 24/7. DC is the first ACS facility to implement this advanced technology, all thanks to DC General Manager, Tony Motamedi and Food Service Director, Andrew Herrington. For this week's #MissionMonday, we’re thrilled to highlight a key contributor to our #IN2WORK program: David Breece, IN2WORK Program Director Specialist. David began his career working as a Correctional Officer. He went on to serve the Tennessee Department of Corrections where he held various positions from Corporal to Associate Warden of Security. After nearly 32 years of service David chose to bring his wealth of experience to the IN2WORK program, stepping into the role of Program Director. “The IN2WORK program has always been something that I believe offers those who are justice-impacted a great opportunity upon re-entry. Programs like IN2WORK provide that much needed hope for those who want to change their lives. Last week, the ACS team came together at the American Correctional Association's 154th Annual Congress of Correction in Nashville, Tennessee. Attendees explored Aramark’s diverse offerings while savoring delicious bites at our exhibition booth. Highlights included networking at our hospitality event, the exciting unveiling of Union Supply Group's refreshed brand, and an engaging general session featuring a memorable interview and performance by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Jelly Roll. For this #MissionMonday, we’re thrilled to spotlight a milestone event from last month in West Chester, Pennsylvania—the Chester County Prison's first ever #IN2WORK graduation! Congratulations to graduates Anthony and Reginald for their hard-earned achievements. A special thank you to Melissa Gano, Marcia LaBombard, and Harvey Eagleston for their commitments to making this possible.

Last week our retail team was hard at work installing two staff micromarkets at the Arlington County Sheriff's Office. Staff can now enjoy an array of snacks and drinks at “The Local”. The team celebrated the grand opening with an official ribbon cutting with Sheriff Quiroz and Aramark RVP Bob Barr. Kudos to Kelsey Feldman and the rest of the retail team! 

Did you know the IN2WORK program also extends its support to the families of those affected by the justice system? The ACS team recently awarded an "IN2(THE)FUTURE Scholarship" to a family member of a recent program graduate in Harris County, Texas. This scholarship provides financial assistance to help family members continue or advance their education, supporting their path to a brighter future.
