Going from point solution to ecosystem aggregator is how one crosses the chasm to being a multi-generational company. NetSuite's conference this week was a testament to the power of ecosystem and community. Here are three reflections on how to make the most of conferences: 1️⃣ Be proactive at your booth. You need to get out there and engage passive viewers on the floor. Not knowing who you'll end up meeting is part of the thrill. 2️⃣ Provide a compelling offer. Why should someone sign up for a demo now? Some vendors used a raffle, others used special pricing or gift incentives. 3️⃣ Know your strategy going in. Are you looking to maximize leads? Or demos at the booth? Or meetings booked for the following week? Make sure the infrastructure is set up to reflect the strategy - have the right laptops and forms set up ahead of time. Most of all, have fun with your team. It's not every day you get so many interactions with your customers, prospects, and partners in person.
