This week, we celebrated Women’s Equality Day and the importance of making voices heard. As America’s Railroad, we create a workplace that reflects our customers and the communities we serve. Hear what it’s like working in the rail industry from some of the many Amtrak frontline women across the nation--from the Ivy City mechanical yard in Washington D.C. to New York Moynihan Station and the Miami Florida station. http://spr.ly/6041mR8P7

Celebrate the restoration of the A. Philip Randolph statue with us!  As we continue to enhance and beautify our stations, we're thrilled that the restoration of the A. Philip Randolph statue at Washington Union Station is now complete. It's a tribute to an extraordinary leader and advocate for civil rights and labor. Randolph's relentless dedication led to the formation of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, a significant milestone in the history of civil rights and labor movements. His legacy lives on through the Amtrak Service Workers Council, which represents onboard employees across our system today. Check out the transformation the next time you visit the station.    #DCUnionStation #WashingtonUnionStation

Safety is Amtrak’s top priority. On this National Dog Day, we paws and recognize all the K-9 officers of the Amtrak Police Department. 👮♂️ 🐶 👮♀️ Alongside their human handlers, these dogs work tirelessly to protect Amtrak customers, trains and stations. Special training turns already keen noses into danger detection devices and creates expert tracking skills. The four-legged members of Amtrak’s K-9 unit act to safeguard their partners and the public. Thank you for your strength, agility and courage on the job. Show our K-9 officers a round of a-pawse in the comments.  👏

    Assistant Production Engineer - TLS

Amtraks Track Laying System (TLS) unit has completed 37 of 43 miles of full Track Renewal (concrete ties/CWR) on Amtraks Philadelphia to Harrisburg Line. This major accelerated program for FY24 is progressing nicely. This job is very unique in regards to working outages that have allowed this extensive, much needed rehabilitation in a short period of time. Tremendous daily coordination with other Production Groups, Freight Railroads and our own freight service group coordinating new/old tie exchange, ballast trains and nightly freight, servicing there customers has been challenging but seemless, while still operating Amtrak Revenue service. We have a great team of Senior Management, Field Managment, Supervisors and agreement employees seeing this project through. With the vast expertise and knowledge of each individual, we operate as a well oiled machine! I am happy to be a part of this project and see it through. I am even more excited to getting closer to homebase! These particular pictures are at Hillsdale Rd UGBR, approximately 2 miles east of Roy Interlocking. Amtrak
