At #AMH, we don’t just build communities. We also strengthen them. The #AMHteam in Houston recently spent the day with Urban Harvest, volunteering to clean up a local community garden that serves as a vital green space for growth and sustainability in the neighborhood 🌱 Thank you to all team members who participate in our #socialimpact program, #AMHCares, to invest in the well-being of the people and places where we live and work.

Their receptiveness and enthusiasm have been a constant source of inspiration, reminding me of the importance of fostering the next generation of leaders. To all the interns who were a part of this journey: thank you for your dedication, hard work, and eagerness to learn. 💲 Let’s talk benefits 💲 At #AMH, we believe supporting our team includes investing in their #financialwellness. One way we do that is through our Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). Through this incentive, eligible #AMHteam members can make payroll deductions to purchase discounted shares of #companystock, as an additional avenue for financial planning towards the future. Employees receive a 15% discount on the stock price at the time shares are purchased. For example, if an employee contributes $1,000 through the ESPP, they will receive $1,176 of AMH stock at the time of purchase. Investing in AMH stock also provides our employees a unique opportunity to have an ownership stake in the future of our company. Today, the #AMHteam was proud to participate once again in HomeAid Utah’s 2nd Diaper House competition in Salt Lake City, UT! #AMH, alongside 19 other businesses, has built tiny homes made entirely out of diaper boxes that’ll be donated through Utah Diaper Bank to families who live with #housing insecurity. In the U.S., 1 in 3 families struggle to afford diapers for their babies, which can negatively affect parents’ ability to secure childcare, and therefore meet job requirements and financially support their loved ones. By raising funds and awareness about these issues, we hope to help build a future without homelessness together. Thank you to the entire #AMHCares team for taking the time to give back to the community through our #socialimpact initiatives! We're happy to share that AMH's diaper house was awarded 1st place in today's competition 🥇 📢 Big shoutout to the planners and leaders behind this project: Jennifer Bowen, Madison Schult, Shane S. Frey, Jethro Fano, Luc Douglas, Howard Smith, David Finlayson, and Pierrette Tierney.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: 🏗️ America needs to build more #housing. 🏡 That’s why we established our own #homebuilding program in 2017, through which we’ve delivered over 10,000 homes to date. “Home-buying affordability dropped last fall to the lowest level since September 1985, and it fell near that level again in June. But because buyers in the mid-1980s had much more housing supply available, homes became more affordable as mortgage rates fell in subsequent years. First-time home buyers these days have it considerably harder. While affordability is likely to improve by the end of the year if borrowing rates ease and inventory continues to grow, it won’t get significantly better for home buyers without a lot more home building, economists say.” Learn more about #AMH Development ➡ https://lnkd.in/gb5iy8Pg Read the full article by The Wall Street Journal ⬇️
