As the back-to-school season approaches, the Amherst team came together again for our annual Backpack Build in support of CapCityKids, a non-profit organization sponsored by the Amherst Foundation. Together, we assembled and distributed more than 1,700 backpacks and hygiene kits for students in Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, and Tampa. We are proud to announce that our Head of External Affairs and Impact Strategies, Genger Charles has been appointed as an Advisory Board Member for the Cooper Housing Institute (CHI). CHI is a private research foundation dedicated to solving the affordable housing crisis in the U.S. In this role, Genger will leverage her expertise in mortgage, housing finance, legal and public policy to provide guidance and advice, helping CHI address national housing issues. We are thrilled to announce that former Amherst executive, Paul Nicholson, has rejoined the firm as Deputy Chief Investment Officer. In this newly created role, Paul will work alongside CEO and CIO Sean Dobson in the development and execution of investment strategies and will lead Amherst’s Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) business, which currently manages over $3.5B of client assets.
