The American Headache Society (AHS) is a professional society of health care providers dedicated to the study and treatment of headache and face pain. The Society’s objectives are to promote the exchange of information and ideas concerning the causes and treatments of headache and related painful disorders. Educating physicians, health professionals and the public and encouraging scientific research are the primary functions of this organization. AHS activities include an annual scientific meeting, a comprehensive headache symposium, regional symposia for neurologists and family practice physicians, publication of the journal Headache and sponsorship of the American Migraine Foundation.

Grant opportunity available! The American Headache Society (AHS) is seeking applications from AHS members for grant funding up to $50,000 that will support investigator-initiated research projects. Priority will be given to early-stage investigators, basic science grants, and collaborative projects aiming to bring established investigators from other fields into headache research. Apply today to attend the 2025 International #HeadacheAcademy being held February 20-22, at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking PGY 3+ Residents, Headache Medicine Fellows, and MD and/or PhD clinicians or researchers currently enrolled or within five years of having completed their training in the US, Canada, or Latin America to participate in the 2025 program. Previous participants of IHA are encouraged to apply should they meet candidate criteria as noted on the application form. Through submission of an optional research proposal, accepted applicants may be eligible to receive a $10,000 grant to fund their research project.
