When her report came back, it showed she may have cancer. A month later, she found me to thank me. She said, 'because you talked me through the mammogram, we caught the cancer early, and I’m going to be cancer-free.' We cried, hugged, and shared a moment of relief and joy. I successfully completed an MRI for a 4-year-old without sedation and discovered a large tumor. After that, the parents requested me for their child's annual MRIs. I also bring empathy when caring for claustrophobic patients, since I’ve experienced it myself.
