American Evaluation Association reposted this
I am now a GEDI (pronounced Jedi, like "Star Wars") with the American Evaluation Association as part of cohort 21. I want to take a moment to reflect on my journey to becoming a GEDI. I applied last year and didn't get in, but I didn't give up after one rejection. Instead, I re-applied this year with a stronger application after a year of growth. As adults, we often fear failure and rejection, but it's important to remember that it's not the end. You can fail, pick yourself up, and try again. A setback or rejection is not the end, but a valuable part of the journey toward growth. I am excited to be a part of the GEDI community, and I look forward to learning more about culturally responsible program evaluation.
